About the Publisher

The Alliance for Children and Families is a nonprofit membership association representing nonprofit child- and family-serving organizations, as well as agencies that support economic empowerment. Members are based in the United States and Canada.

On a number of projects, the Alliance works in partnership with United Neighborhood Centers of America (UNCA), a separate membership association comprised of nonprofit neighborhood centers across the United States.

Together, the Alliance and UNCA represent more than 475 organizations that:

  • provide an array of community-based programs and services to all generations
  • annually serve more than 3.4 million people in more than 6,000 communities
  • operate with a combined budget of roughly $10.8 billion
  • employ more than 53,000 full-time staff
  • enjoy the volunteerism of more than 10,000 board members

The Alliance for Children & Families Magazine is a quarterly publication targeted to a specialized national audience that includes individuals vested in the nonprofit human services sector. This includes the CEOs of the more than 475 members of the Alliance and UNCA.

Nonprofit Director

Packaged within the bounds of the Alliance for Children & Families Magazine is the Nonprofit Director. This supplement publication is designed specifically for the more than 10,000 individuals who serve as directors on the governing boards of the more than 475 members of the Alliance and UNCA.

The Nonprofit Director champions knowledge development, networking, and information sharing within this unique and growing community of nonprofit volunteer leaders.
